Wu Muye held the last stop of his world recital featuring Complete Works of Schubert Impromptus at the Hong Kong City Hall on November 19, which coincided with the 191th anniversary of Schubert’s death. At the point when many artists canceled their performances due to the city’s conflicts and turmoils, Wu Muye is set to hold on to the last minute with a strong determination to perform as long as the circumstances permit, in the hope that the power of music will contribute to healing a city afflicted with violence and conflicts.
The performance was completed successfully with Wu Muye playing My Motherland, which was met with a standing ovation by audiences who had been waiting for a piece of music to articulate their longings for peace.
Many Hong Kong celebrities such as Kelly Chen, Terence Lam and Loon Ki Lee came with their families, expressing their excitement to be able to attend such an inspiring and captivating recital at this critical juncture in Hong Kong.
