On May 19, 2019, Wu Muye’s Piano Recital World Tour featuring Schubert’s Complete Impromptus was romantically performed in Hangzhou Grand Theatre, which drew a full house. Wu rendered a romantic interpretation of Schubert’s piano improvisation to the audience. Wu Muye and Hangzhou have a special bond, which dated back to September, 2016. Wu played Debussy’s Clair de Lune with the China National Symphony Orchestra at the evening gala “Enduring Memories of Hangzhou” held after the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit. This time, he gave a surprise to the Hangzhou audience by playing the encore of Clair de Lune. The familiar melody raised cheers from the audience.
